The Groundhogs were well known for their gutsy blues rock which peaked commercially in the late sixties and ealry 1970’s. In 1971 they played support to The Rolling Stones on their British tour at the personal request of Mick Jagger. They released a live album of the Rolling Stone tour which was recorded at Leeds University and called Live at Leeds.

Dutch folk rock band, Focus formed in 1969 and had commercial success in the UK with two fantastic rock classics - Sylvia and Hocus Pocus in 1972. In 1973 they had a commercial hit with the live album At The Rainbow.
