Tricky is set to return with a new single, Council Estate, and new album Knowle West Boy this summer.
Following some anonymity living in the Bronx with his Jamaican cousins then moving to LA, setting up a record label and making a film amongst other things, Tricky returns with his most personal album to date.
Knowle West Boy is his first release in 5 years and sums up everything that Tricky has accomplished since his classic 1995 Maxinquaye debut.
Knowle West is the area of Bristol that Tricky grew up in, and the base of his new single Council Estate.
If the single is anything to go by, this is a true return to form for the extremely talented, Tricky.
Council Estate will be available digitally on 23rd June and CD on 30th June – his new album Knowle West Boy is released on Monday the 7th July 2008.
