The Xcerts New Album & Tour
Back from playing the British Anthems Festival in Tokyo, with The Fratellis, The Xcerts are playing a handful of gigs and free in-store appearances to promote their debut album, In The Cold Wind We Smile.
The album begins with the title track – In The Cold Wind We Smile; a short intro that sets a serene and comtemplative tone. But track 2, Home Versus Home is what The Xcerts are all about. A powerful guitar driven song that falls somewhere between the indie pop rock sound of Feeder and the punk-induced rock music of Green Day.
A powerful debut album that includes the recent anthemic single, Crisis In The Slow Lane, The Xcerts make accessible, feel good, punchy indie pop rock music that is gathering an army of fans.
Momentum is growing and this album will help put The Xcerts on the map in 2009.
In The Cold Wind We Smile by The Xcerts is released on 30th March on Xtra Mile Recordings.
The Xcerts spent much of 2008 touring with the likes of Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, Twin Atlantic, Feeder and Fight Like Apes. Their first live outing since flying back to the UK will be an attempt to entertain the Loch Ness monster, as they play a very special gig on a boat on the famous Scottish Highland loch!
