The Ruskins debut single, Slow Down Jessica

Have you heard the great new debut single from London based trio, The Ruskins?

Slow Down Jessica has that perfect British summer indie pop sound.  Hard to describe, but it will be a sure fire hit for the band, especially if the sun is shining at the festivals they are already booked to play this summer.

Eamon, Dave and Ricky, collectively known as The Ruskins, have continued to build a live following over the past two years. From jamming at home on Isleworth’s Worton Estate in West London to whipping the crowd into a stage-invasion frenzy at London’s Islington Academy.

The Ruskins sound like Jamie T mixed with the cool of The View and British indie rap crossover of The Streets ; and with their debut single, they are starting to turn heads with their catchy, ska-infused indie soft rock inspired by the likes of The Cribs and The Streets.

Slow Down Jessica was recently chosen by Steve Lamacq as his ‘Demo of the Week’ on BBC Radio 1 where he paid tribute to lead singer Eamon’s lyrical prowess. This cheeky, charming trio are definitely one to watch this summer.

The Ruskins debut single Slow Down Jessica is released this week on 645 Records and if you live in London they are headlining Alan McGee’s Death Disco club tonight.
