Brighton based acoustic band, The Miserable Rich are currently touring Germany but will return to the UK to play some live dates in December to help promote their debut album, Twelve Ways To Count which is released this week.
Twelve Ways To Count is currently winning lots of praise and I am eagerly awaiting a review copy as I listen to tracks on The Miserable Rich Myspace page.
I am loving Pisshead and their wonderful reworking of Hot Chip’s Over & Over.
“…their lush orchestro-folk is heartbreakingly beautiful” – NME.
“…somewhere between Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Belle & Sebastian, T Rex, Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake” – Sunday Telegraph.
The Miserable Rich are currently amidst an extensive tour in Germany at the moment where they’re big news and return to our shores for some suitably matched dates with Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan in December:
The Miserable Rich UK Live Dates:
8th December Union Chapel, London
9th December Wedgewood Rooms, Postsmouth
10th December De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill
And then the END OF THE ROAD Christmas Shindig… on Dec 18th at Cargo which has a distinct In House flavour to it with THE ACCIDENTAL and BROKEN FAMILY BAND making up the line-up.
