The Killing of John Lennon is a film about the life of Mark Chapman and the events that led him to murder the ex Beatle in New York, on 8th December 1980.

The dialogues are taken from original transcripts and interviews and translated onto film by director Andrew Piddington and made on a budget of only seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds.

As an exercise into what goes on in a psycho killer’s head, I would imagine that the film would be good, but with Lennon as the subject matter this film is bound to court controversy.

With due bad taste the film is released at selected cinemas on the 7th December.
