Domino Records are about to re-release two classic albums by eighties college radio darlings and indie rockers The Feelies. The New Jersey rockers will re-issue Crazy Rhythms and The Good Earth on October 26th, the first time that both albums have been available for more than a decade.
The Feelies debut album Crazy Rythms is considered to be one of the top 100 album’s of the eighties by Rolling Stone magazine, a minimalist rock and roll album inspired by the work of Brian Eno, Velvet Underground and Wire.
The Good Earth followed on, some six years later, co produced by Feelies Glenn Mercer and Bill Million along with REM’s Peter Buck, a Feelies fan since his days working asa record store clerk.
Bonus material including demos, b-sides, EP tracks and new live recordings will be included via download cards inserted into both LPs and CDs, which will also feature deluxe packaging with liner notes by Jim Derogatis and Jim Sullivan.
