Following the success of  Spectrum 7’s debut EP Fade to Black and Back Again, the band have announced the release date for their debut single Blue Wray and news of a debut mini album which is due out later this year.

Blue Wray will be released digitally via iTunes and other major DSPs through Xtra Mile Recordings on July 27th. The single is taken from the forthcoming mini album So Silent The Night, which is produced by Lester Woodward and Patrick Jonnson.

Sean Shreeve (Bass) and Jon Hardless (Guitar) began their early careers like most musicians; crafting songs in their bedrooms. Soon the ideals and conventions of the traditional rock band set-up were wearing thin with the duo and they began to look for new and innovative ways to bring their vision of the way bands should sound to a future generation of listeners.

Shreeve and Hardless immediately got to work writing unconventional musical structures and electronic beats on their Playstation while layering lyrics, guitar and bass riffs over the top. Although the band was still in a very premature form the duo managed to convince vocalist Jason Mirchandani and drummer Graeme Healy to come onboard and after scrapping their Playstation in favor of professionally crafted electronic beats the group began honing their unique sound and Spectrum 7 was born!

Having already supported the likes of Enter Shikari, The Xcerts, Cage the Elephant and Frank Turner the band will now hit the road in support of the release of Blue Wray at the following venues:

26th July – The Cellar Bar, Bracknell *Single Launch Show*
5th August – 229 Club, London (Club Fandango)
18th Sepeptember – MeshFest, Camberley
