Manchester based six piece band Table have teamed up with Humble Soul and Static Caravan to release their excellent debut single Songs You Can Sing.
The single will be released as a limited edition 7″ vinyl record, with just 500 copies being made available, all hand stamped and numbered. The first 100 or so will also come in hessian bags with a free DVD.
Table are led by songwriter David O’Dowda who combines various strands of modern folk music to create something new and wonderful. The new release features two tracks, Songs You Can Sing is a delicate and beguilingly understated piece despite the barbed tale woven throughout, while Most is a multi layered mix bursting with ideas where electronic and organic sounds collide.
The single is also available for download in digital format on the Table MySpace site now.
Table will be appearing with Nancy Elizabeth and Hannah Peel in an intimate gig at St Margaret’s Church in Manchester on Saturday December 12th, tickets may still be available through Piccadilly Records in Manchester.
