Should The Rolling Stones want to play at Blackpool ever again, they will be free to do so, after a ban on the group was lifted after forty four years.
The Stones last played at the British seaside town in 1964, and were promptly banned from ever appearing there again, after the show led to fifty people being admitted to hospital, after chandeliers were smashed and seats vandalised.
Blackpool council leader Peter Callow said “The ban has now been lifted and the group are welcome to play here again.”
I wonder what Mick and Keef make of that.
