Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood have allegedly been plotting a reunion of the Faces if the Sun newspaper is to be believed. The pair met recently in London to discuss the small matter of getting the boys back together for a studio album and a winter tour.
It is not made clear whether former Faces Kenney Jones and Ian McLagan have been approached or considered, but it would be unlikely to happen without them. The fifth member Ronnie Lane is of course no longer with us.
The report suggests that there are plans to go into the studio in the Autumn but no mention of new songs.
I LOVED the Faces during their brief career 1970-73. All I can say is the reunion would be 30 years too late if it does happen. As competent as these guys are, and they are all among the best, what can they offer?
Rod Stewart has slipped into the comfy slippers, covering Irving Berlin songs or the like, I just don’t see it happening. Frankly, while I think that the Faces were the ultimate Rock band, I have no desire to watch these guys spoil my teenage memories.

This would be the best thing that could happen for rock & roll.
The Faces were the band that put fun in to Rock & Roll.
They were the only rivals to the Stones.
The only band that could match and even surpass the live show’w of the Stones.

rod n ron will get it on 2gether with super mac & king kenny. they were the inspiration for so many bands inc the sex pistols who are still youring now. the faces will come alive that i promise.
