Yesterday a personal message from Thom Yorke appeared on the official Radiohead website
stating that a new Radiohead webcast will be broadcast at midnight UK time on New Year’s Eve.
This latest web event follows last month’s Thumb’s Down webcast when they included a parody of the David Fincher film, Se7en.
The New Year webcast will feature the band performing all tracks from In Rainbows.
After recenly performing cover versions of The Smiths and Bjork, it is rumoured that the New Year webcast will include a Siouxsie & the Banshees song, though no official comment has been made from the radiohead camp.
Entitled Scotch Mist the message says:
Dear Reader
Hope you are having a peaceful christmas.
As you may now have heard we will be broadcasting a pre-recording of some songs and other bits on New Years Eve..
you will be able to view it online from here at midnight new years eve, uk time that is…radiohead.tv as well as other places that i am not sure about.
this is a wee celebration of the release of the physical manifestation of ‘in rainbows’.
yours hopefully
Thom
What Siouxsie & the Banshees song would you like Radiohead to play? How about Hong Kong Garden?
