For those of you that were otherwise occupied on New Year’s Eve and wasn’t able to view the latest Radiohead webcast. Scotch Mist is a film by Radiohead which was first broadcast at midnight on New Year’s Eve, 2007.
The film features Radiohead playing live every song on their new album In Rainbows, and was suggested to be a celebration to market the “physical manifestation” of the CD which is now available.
In my best and worst albums of 2007 I listed In Rainbows as disappointment. The main reason for this is it being the first Radiohead album since their debut that hasn’t really blown me away. I don’t see it as being another leap forward like The Bends, Ok Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to The Thief. Maybe I’m expecting too much as the songs themselves are okay; and this film is good to watch.
