Radiohead available on iTunes

John Williams - Thursday 03.01.08, 17:57pm

In a surprise turnaround Radiohead have agreed with computer giant  Apple to allow the sale of their new material through iTunes.

Following the release of their album In Rainbows on the internet via download only, the CD is now available via the conventional High Street record store as well as from the iTunes store.

Radiohead had previously refused Apple the rights to sell their music, saying that they wanted their material to be heard as a complete album and were against individual tracks being purchased. This has changed completely with the new deal and the tracks from In Rainbows are available for the standard iTunes price of 79p each.

The band have however stipulated that the tracks will be a higher audio quality than most other music on iTunes, insisting that they are 320kpbs mp3 files, the highest possible sound quality for commercial release.
