To celebrate their 40th year as EMI recording artists Pink Floyd have released a mammoth boxset that includes all 14 studio albums from their 1967 debut, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn to their last studio album together, The Division Bell in 1994. The boxset is called Oh By The Way and the initial run will be limited to 10,000 copies.
The boxset will make a fantastic Christmas present for any Floyd fan, though its a shame it doesn’t include all their album releases. Not included is the rarities album Relics, live albums Delicate Sound of Thunder and Pulse, and compilations such a A Collection of Great Dance Songs and Echoes.
Each album is presented in the popular and collectable mini vinyl sleeve packaging, in a bespoke box featuring brand new Pink Floyd imagery from long-time artwork collaborator Storm Thorgerson.
Oh By the Way includes:
“The Piper at the Gates of Dawn”
“A Saucer Full of Secrets”
“More”
“Ummagumma”
“Atom Heart Mother”
“Meddle”
“Obscured by Clouds”
“Dark Side of the Moon”
“Wish You Were Here”
“Animals”
“The Wall”
“The Final Cut”
“A Momentary Lapse of Reason”
“The Division Bell”
