OK – Tell The World is released on Sound Of Monkey – single review

OK are from Wales and play upbeat, happy summer, perfectly British guitar-driven pop music, reminiscent of The Housemartins and Morrissey.

OK manage to capture the spirit of being young and carefree.  This isn’t shoegazing depression.  This is music to make you smile on a hot summer’s day.  Singer / songwriter Joe Paine warbles away in a distinctly melancholic Morrissey way (which is more appreant on the two other tracks) while the the rest of the band – Adam (bass), Ollie (rhythm guitar) and Theo (drums) keep the tunes light and breezy.

OK have recently completed recording their debut album with producer James Lewis (Arctic Monkeys, The Wombats).
