It has a capacity of 2000 and the music will run from 3pm til 5am.
Confirmed acts including Clinic, Archie Bronson Outfit, These New Puritans, Benga, Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man, Wild Beasts, the XX, Loefah (Digital Mystikz), Afrikan Boy and Oneman will perform on stages hosted by Domino Records, Puregroove and Angular Recording Corporation. More acts are to be confirmed.
The galleries will host works of esteemed artists such as Tobias Warwick Jones, Dan Mumford, Mally and Saddy, and an arts treasure hunt will lead participants on a merry chase around the area.
New Cross is a hive of creativity. Art school kids, punks and hippies all jostle for place in London’s last corner of bohemia, spurting out talent as varied as Blur, Klaxons, Malcom McLaren and Benjamin Zephaniah. The local university, Goldsmiths, has produced such luminaries as Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and Vivienne Westwood.
About the organisers
When New Cross’s own No Pain In Pop aren’t busy releasing records by up and coming international talent (HEALTH, Telepathe, Crystal Castles, No Age) they’re throwing their own clubnights and DJing across various clubs in London.
Adventures in The Beetroot Field have been loosely adhering to a ‘new music with a few reference points’ motto for the last two years. They’re responsible for some of London’s most respected events: Stag & Dagger, Field Day and one off nights at Fabric.
Domino is a London based leading independent record label currently in the midst of celebrating its fifteenth anniversary. With offices also in Berlin and New York it is home to a vast array of breakthrough artists as diverse as Yo! Majesty, Wild Beasts, Arctic Monkeys, Bonnie Prince Billy and Animal Collective.
