Yesterday morning on BBC Radio 5 Live, presenter Nicky Campbell quizzed newly elected leader of the Lib Dems, Nick Clegg about his Facebook page where he lists being a fan of Led Zeppelin, Bowie …. and Bach.
When askeed what his favourite Bowie album was, Clegg answered that it would have to be Changes.
Now for all you Bowie fans and music facists out there, you will know that Changes is in fact a “best of” compilation, and so the debate began whether you can truly call yourself a fan if you do not have a favourite studio album. I of course agree, and choose Station To Station as my favourite Bowie album. What’s yours?
This reminded me of a similar scenario where Alan Partridge was asked his favourite Beatles album.

My favourite- Aladin Sane was the first Bowie album I bought and then found Ziggy and Hunky Dory retrospectively- but all three are his best.
