Mountains are about to make the official release of the ‘live’ album that was originally recorded earlier this year and sold as a tour-only CDR. Recently the band decided to re sequence the tracks to make a better fit for the LP format that they have chosen for the new release and the result of their work can be found on the new album Etching.
The album will be released as a limited edition of one thousand copies, with each album sleeve hand stamped and unique.
Etching was recorded in the early winter months of 2009 in Brendon’s studio, it was recorded in real time with no overdubs. The tracks on the album are an early version of the band’s set from their spring Choral tour.
Choral was the last release from Mountains and quickly sold out it’s first and second pressings. Listen to this track from Choral called Telescope, as a taster.
