Mick Jagger Reaches Pension Time

John Williams - Friday 25.07.08, 13:43pm

mick jagger pensionerVeteran rocker Mick Jagger becomes eligible for a state pension on Saturday, entitling him to the basic £91 per week. However he will have to wait another five years to be eligible for free loft insulation as the benefit is only available to those aged 70 and over!

Jagger’s fortune is estimated at £225million so it is unlikely he will popping out to cash his pension cheque just yet. Despite his age Jagger and the Rolling Stones remain one of the biggest attractions in rock music, their Bigger Bang tour of 2005 to 2007 grossing $558,255,524 according to producer Michael Cohl.

The Stones are currently reaching a new audience with the film documentary Shine A Light capturing the energy of the bands live performance.
