On 8 December a David Bowie tribute night was organised in Gillingham, Medway where local musicians played (mainly) acoustic versions of favourite Bowie songs.
The songs performed included Life On Mars, Space Oddity, Jean Genie, China Girl, Five Years, Lady Stardust, Amsterdam, Heroes, Queen Bitch, Ashes To Ashes, Absolute Beginners, Kooks and more from musicians such as The Armitage Shanks, Singing Loins, Bob Collins (The Dentists), Gary Robertson, Darryl Hartley, Burt Hartley, John Barker (The Buff Medways) and more.
