misfits
This top track, Misfits was released earlier this week by Lunar Youth on Young and Lost Records, I have just heard it for the first time and really like it, as it reminds me of the early Counting Crows material, both vocally and lyrically.
Lunar Youth a three piece band based in London, although two (brothers) hail from New York, Adam plays drums and Peter plays bass and Englishman Simon is the singer and guitarist. They list amongst their various influences Cars, Japan, Tom Petty and Psychedelic Furs.
They will be playing at Hamptons in Southampton on November 29th and the Barfly in London on December 2nd, but will be announcing a full UK tour soon.
I came across this interesting interview of Lunar Youth talking to Tony Barrett at Berry Street Studios where the band had been recording, Tony looks a bit flustered but blags his way through in the end.
