Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson were finally married in Colorado on April 12th this year at a secret ceremony, after spending the last thirteen years living together.

The post wedding party has travelled from Colorado and hit New York’s arty East Village this week, where the couple have been celebrating with friends at the home of photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.

Guests at the New York party included Film maker Julian Schnabel, Mike Quashie, Richard Belzer and Hal Willner.

The Guardian’s suggestion that Lou Reeds guest list might include a ‘raft of transvestites and drug-dealers’ could not be substantiated, any more than Laurie Anderson’s ‘hologram artist, a sound poet and an empty cardboard box.’
