Lostprophets – It’s Not the End of the World, But I Can See It from Here
Since forming in 1997 Lostprophets have sold over one million albums and built a loyal following in the UK. Their music blends powerful driving heavy rock / nu metal guitars and vocals with a lively and commerical sounding pop sensibility.
Lostprophets are most commonly termed nu metal and post-grunge though their music is musc richer and diverse than that.
The first single from the new album, It’s Not the End of the World, But I Can See It from Here, was played for the first time on BBC Radio 1 on August 19th. It gets its official release on Monday 12th October.
The new single is a familiar Lostprophets sound mixing up nu metal / hard rock of Linkin Park and Faith No More with softer sing-a-long pop tones reminiscent of The Kaiser Chiefs. It is taken from their fourth studio album, The Betrayed, which is due for release in January 2010.

Definitely not my favourite Lostprophets track, this is the first time I’ve heard it though so maybe it’ll grow on me.
