Glastonbury headline act Jay-Z has hit back at criticism from Noel Gallagher over his role in the mid summer festival.
Unlike Gallagher, the hip hop star chose his words carefully and intelligently while calling for respect between those artists that make different genres of music.
“We don’t play guitars, Noel, but hip-hop has put in its work like any other form of music. This headline show is just a natural progression. Rap music is still evolving.”
Jay-Z also revealed that he is looking forward to the show despite the fact that his name has called such a stir, saying “I’ve never been involved in anything this controversial.”
“Whats the big deal about doing a show? I guess its heritage and people hold that dear to their heart and see it one way, but that’s how the world is.”
Far too eloquent Jay-Z, Noel will never understand!
