NME stages its first USA awards ceremony at El Rey in Los Angeles tonight at 9pm(PST).
The event will include the much anticipated reunion of Jane’s Addiction. The eighties band have reformed specifically for the occasion where they will receive the NME award for Godlike Geniuses.
The Lemonheads will collect the award for NME Classic Album for their 1992 Its A Shame About Ray, while Mick Jones the former Clash legend will pick up the NME Inspiration award.
All of the aforementioned will be playing ‘live’ at the show, Mick Jones will perform with current band Carbon/Silicone, with special guests throughout the ceremony.
Other Artists in with a shout for an award are The Killers, Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, Kings Of Leon and White Stripes among many others.
