With only one day to go to the famous dairy farm opens its gates for the Glastonbury Festival 2008, there are still articles being written on reasons for the poor ticket sales.
Whether the headline acts, ticket prices or the English weather is to blame, the fact is there are still several thousand tickets unsold for this years’ festival; the first time Glastonbury has not sold out since a perimeter fence was erected in 2001.
But for many people, especially families, Glastonbury is not just about music. There are other events and fields offer a great way to enjoy the festival, including watching films on a big screen in a large marquee or in the open air, with a group of likeminded people.
The Cinema Field will show films for all ages and tastes over the festival weekend. Indoor & outdoor screens will be showing old favourites such as Back To The Future and the orginal silent classic Metropolis, along with adult films including Control, Cloverfield, Kill Bill 1 & 2, family films such as Transformers, Shrek the Third and Stardust.
Glastonbury will also be hosting two advanced preview screenings, including The Wackness, which is not due out in UK cinemas until the end of August.
Visit the Glastonbury Cinema Field for a complete list of movies.
