Franz Ferdinand have announced details of a pair of very special UK shows in London & Edinburgh in January. The London show will also be the first show in NME’s annual run of Shockwaves NME Awards Shows.
Franz Ferdinand play at The Picture House, Edinburgh on 14th January and London’s Heaven Club on 20th January.
Tickets for the Edinburgh show are priced at £17.50 and will go on pre-sale on 26th November 2008 and general sale on 28th November.
Tickets for the London show are also priced at £17.50 and will go on pre-sale via the NME website (www.nme.com) and the band’s website (www.franzferdinand.co.uk) at 9am on 26th November and general sale on 28th November.
Franz Ferdinand also release their third album, titled Tonight: Franz Ferdinand on Domino Records on Monday January 26th 2009.
The 12-track album will be preceded by a single, Ulysses, on January 19th.
Produced by Dan Carey and the band, the album was recorded at the band’s own HQ in Govan, Glasgow and Carey’s South London studio.
