Frank Turner takes a giant leap in his quest for mainstream popularity after being asked to support Green Day on their upcoming two date UK Stadium shows, including a date at Wembley Stadium.
Accepting the personal invitation from punk rockers Green Day, Turner will be opening for the band alongside Joan Jett and The Blackhearts.
The two dates are:
Manchester LCCCÂ June 16th
Wembley Stadium June 19th
Turner has recently returned from his first ever tours of Australia and China and as well as Green Day support he will be playing at a staggering array of UK festivals over the coming summer months.
His itinerary includes headlining Wood and 2000trees, main stage performance at Latitude, T In The Park, two sets at Glastonbury and the NME/Radio1 Stage at Reading and Leeds. Plus Lollopalooza, Galgory Folk Festival and whole load in Europe.

Also making the headlines is another of Xtra Mile Recordings artistes, Straight Lines, the band is currently on the first ever Xtra Mile tour with stable mates The Xcerts and will also support Frank Turner at the O2 Birmingham Academy on May 27th for the Kerrang! Radio Night.
Straight Lines have announced the release of their next single, the furiously melodic slice of indie pop, Loose Change, taken from the excellent album Persistence In This Game.
Loose Change is released on June 12th.
