The excellent debut EP from Seattle’s Feral Children is available for free download from their Seattle based record label, Sarathan.
The EP contains four tracks taken from their debut album, Second To The Last Frontier, which was released this week. The album was recorded by produced by Scott Colburn who has worked with Arcade Fire and Animal Collective, among others.
The four free tracks are Spy/Glass House, Jaundice Giraffe, Saint and Zyghost.
Spy/Glass House reminds me of the archaic but melodic Arcade Fire fused with the power and grind of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. But there are plenty of other influences in there, too.
Feral Children are getting a good name for themselves, not just for their recorded material, but for their lively live shows.
Expect to hear more from Feral Children as the word spreads.
Download the EP for free by visiting Sarathan Records

Sound like Seattle’s grunge rock scene as progressed to another level. And that’s a good thing.
