Following the death of Tony Wilson, founder of Factory Records, sometime manager of A Certain Ration & the Happy Mondays; and the man who single-handedly gave first live TV appearances to the likes of Joy Division, Blondie & the Sex Pistols, Pete Tong and former Hacienda DJ Mike Pickering recorded a special Essential Mix for Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show on Sunday 26th August.
As you can see from the tracklist below Pete Tong mixes a selection of Factory favourites from the likes of Joy Division, New Order, A Certain Ratio, Durutti Column & Electronic (the Bernard Sumner & Johnny Marr project). While Mike Pickering plays a fantastic set of Hacienda acid house favourites. Enjoy!
