Babyshamble’s Pete Doherty has announced that he will be playing a solo gig at none other than London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The gig is planned to take place on April 26 and will feature Doherty doing a solo set, while details of support acts have yet to be finalised. The singer is currently busy working on a solo album, and has performed solo in the past during a three night residency at the Rhythm Factory in December last year.
It would appear that the other members of Babyshambles are fine with Doherty’s solo work, bassist Drew McConneli has said “We embrace Pete doing his own stuff.”
Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall gig go on sale on Saturday February 16.
