Babyshambles rocker Pete Doherty was hired by American computer games tycoon for a private performance at the singers home at the weekend. The businessman Greg Thomas and his wife Cynthia flying in from California just for the gig, and forking out £15,000 for the pleasure.
The gig scheduled for 9pm, eventually kicked off at 4am next morning as Doherty performed an hour long acoustic set for his paying guests.
The set included a mix of old favourites and some brand new previously unheard material. Doherty said later “They really knew their stuff. They were a nice couple as well, it was nice all round, just for a bit of pocket money.”
