Carl Barat frontman of Dirty Pretty Things was rushed into hospital yesterday morning with stomach pains. The former Libertine has since been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and will be kept under observation until the weekend.

The singer will undergo more tests and may have to face an operation.

Dirty Pretty Things have postponed their Real Fits fund raising gig at the London Hackney Round Chapel on Friday 20th June, because of Barats hospitalisation.
