If you are a fan of tv’s Bo Selecta, you will no doubt have enjoyed the character Craig David and even thought it very sporting of the real Craig David to appear in one of the sketches. I did.
But it turns out that the Southampton singer is far from happy with the comic portrayal, and sick of hearing the words “Craaaig Daaavid”every time he steps out of his home.
In an interview in the timesonline David reveals his true feelings about the comic and how insecure he has become about himself. While record sales have plummeted for the real Craig David, he feels that the Bo Selecta creator Leigh Francis (aka Avid Merrion) is to blame, but Francis while sympathetic says:
“I didn’t like it that Craig David got pissed off and I didn’t want him thinking that wanker ruined my career. A lot of people think that I ruined him, but I don’t write his songs. He does.”
Ok enough said!

The fact that people know that it bothers him means that there will always be some who will continue to do the ‘impression’ to annoy him.
If he laughed it off, then the novelty will wear off/thin.
Record sales have nothing to do with this but everything to do with the fact that he’s probably not producing anything good that sells!

the real craig david is only blaming leigh francis because craig david has gone sh1t and he is looking to blame someone but like francis said he doesnt write his songs C.D writes them, its only a scetch, you dont hear mel b moaning do ya? mel b has been on the show also and she even does the impression herself, there are also alot of C.D fans who dont like bo selecta whats stopping them from buying his sh1te records?
all craig david is gonna do coming out with this is make a tit out of himself! how many ppl get the p1ss taken out of them if your a celeb? it happens more than you would think, you have to ignore it if you dont like it because it WILL always be there if it wasnt leigh francis doing it it would of only been someone else.
