Hinterland 2010

Following the success of last years inaugural festival in Glasgow, Hinterland returns on April 3rd with an incredible line up of both home grown and international artists who will perform across Glasgow City Centre.

Hinterland will showcase a line up of eclectic acts from many musical genres including indie, electro, rock, house and hip-hop.

Hinterland is a unique festival that takes place in various venues across central Glasgow, among them are The Arches, Sub Club, Macsorleys Music Bar, The Admiral, Pivo Pivo, Rockers with more venues yet to be confirmed.

The event takes place on April 3rd from 5pm until 3am and one ticket will give access to all the gigs at all the venues. Tickets and further information can be found on the Hinterland website.

The Hinterland organisers pride themselves on attracting an eclectic mix of talent to the festival and among this years artists are: Mystery Jets, British Sea Power, Jeffrey Lewis, Hot Club de Paris, Friendly Fires (DJ) and Joe Goddard Hot Chip (DJ Set).

Domino Records, the London based leading independent record label, which celebrated its fifteenth anniversary in 2008, will be hosting a night at this year’s Hinterland Festival which runs from 30th April – 1st May across a number of venues in Glasgow.

The eclectic record label is home to the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Four Tet, Bonnie Prince Billy, The Kills and Animal Collective, to name a few.

The Domino event will feature performances from Domino and Double Six artists and will take place on Friday 1st May at a special venue to be announced on the day.

Eugene McGuinness will be performing tracks from his recent eponymous and critically acclaimed Domino debut, and will be followed by a set from Jon Hopkins, whose album, Insides, is due for release via Double Six in May.

Headlining the night will be Wild Beasts, who will be previewing songs from their much anticipated second LP due for release later this year.

Elsewhere at Hinterland, Sons and Daughters will be performing, as well as The Count & Sinden, who will be manning the decks alongside Simian Mobile Disco. Once again, venues for these shows will be announced on the day.
