Bjork has pulled out of this weekends Wild In The Country festival, where she was due to headline on July 5th.
The Icelandic singer who is reaching the end of an eighteen month long world tour has issued the following statement:
“Bjork is extremely disappointed that this show will now no longer go ahead, Organisers have been unable to secure any staging, sound and lighting for this festival, making it impossible for the headline artists to perform.”
Organisers of the weekend event at Knebsworth Park are flabbergasted by the comments and have responded to the singer by saying, “Contrary to what has been suggested, we have diligently provided all production requirements for all of the other acts appearing on this years line up.”
The festival appearance was scheduled as Bjork’s only live date in the UK this year.
