Possibly Cambridge’s best kept secret, Lonely The Brave are about to hit the floor running with their excellent debut EP Backroads, which is released on October4th.

The Backroads EP is a five track sample of some of the material that has earned Lonely The Brave a huge reputation on the local live circuit. The title track along with Black Saucers was recorded at Newbury’s Studio 91 under the direction of Mark Williams who has produced Biffy Clyro, Exit Ten and Fightstar amongst others.

Recently acknowledged by Radio 1’s Dan P Carter, who on hearing the EP promptly arranged for Lonely The Brave to record a four track live session for his rock show on July 23rd, an almost unprecedented move for a band so early in their career.

The band’s epic and melodic sound is influenced by the likes of Springsteen, Twilight Singers, dEUS, Explosions In The Sky and This Will Destroy You, the result is the kind of all encompassing rock music that is best at home ‘live’ in the biggest of venues.

But it is not simply a case of loud in your face anthemic rock music, Lonely The Brave are equally at home with their excellent acoustic takes on both the title track Backroads and Call of Horses.

Lonely The Brave are on the brink of something big, the EP Backroads is the perfect introduction, don’t miss it!

There are a few live video’s of the band on YouTube, but generally recorded on mobile phones the sound leaves a lot to be desired. This is one of the better ones, Lonely The Brave  – Black Saucers;

Better to check out the Lonely The Brave MySpace site to hear the band at thier sublime best.

    This band has some nice songs and I am sure that they will gain great success if they will continue writing high quality music… just listen to their songs at official MySpace account… aren’t they great?
